Thanks for coming to my website.

Thanks to the generosity of a handfull of people and of the Rotary organization, I was able to spend April 21st until the 30th in Haiti working on reestablishing water filters in my old site.

The Ranquitte Peasant Movement has now begun production of Bio-Sand Filters locally, and my involvement now is to help promote the use of water filters.  It is unfortunate that I couldn't devote more time to this particular trip, but I hope to return again very soon and help train community stewards, whom would be responsible for water and sanitation education, basic maintanance, and product promotion.

Bio-Sand Filter projects work, but some are more successful than others.  Realistically, programs with a support system have better results than those without proper follow-up.  This is why I must go back to Ranquitte again.

Thank you for your continued interest in the people of Ranquitte, Haiti.
